2025-2026 Kindergarten Registration is now open!

Reading Public Schools has launched a new online registration platform for kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year! Please use this link to register: https://forms.rediker.com/readingpublicschools.

Register by February 1st for priority placement in your neighborhood school!

In-Person Registration Assistance: Drop-in assistance for registration will be available on Friday, January 24th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please fill out this form to reserve an in-person appointment.

Is your child eligible for kindergarten? To be eligible for kindergarten in the 2025-2026 school year, your child must turn five years old by August 31, 2025. If your child was five by August 31, 2024, but did not attend kindergarten, they remain eligible for kindergarten. Your child may be eligible for first grade if they turn six by August 31, 2025.

Current RISE students Transitioning to Kindergarten

If your student is currently enrolled in the RISE preschool program, you won’t need to complete the full registration process required for new incoming students. Instead, we kindly ask that you complete two forms included with this letter to finalize your enrollment:

  1. Early Childhood Education Experience Survey
  2. Full Day/Half Day Selection Form

Please complete the forms promptly to secure your child’s spot in kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. If you decide not to enroll your child in the Reading Public Schools for kindergarten, please email RPSStudentRegistration@reading.k12.ma.us to let us know. If you have any questions about the process or your child’s transition, join us for our Virtual Kindergarten Registration Information Night on January 6, 2025 at 6:00pm via Zoom.
